It is tremendous sorrow Peter Vaskovych (Aeros designer) is not with us anymore. It was with shock we received the news about leukemia he had this winter, but we were relived when we heard it was curable and he will survive if he gets donor. Time was too short to find donor to Peter. He died last Thursday (15th of October).
We spoke with him in St.Hilaire (France) for one month ago, and we could clearly see he suffered and was in pain of the illness. It was hard to see him like this and I never found peace in my soul after that. –How can we help?

We have lost one of the greatest personality in Hang Gliding and paragliding community. We still have to finalize EN certification for Peters creation, Style 2, and his latest creation is expecting soon for tests. So we will still have good memories for long long time, but it is difficult to find words in such moment and hard to believe he didn’t survive. I feel pain everywhere in my body.

Our thoughts goes to his family and friends, especially to his wife and two children. -We can not imagine your loss you must feel right now.

Life is vulnerable and we should be grateful being in good health and to have family around. We will never know if we get exposed to some illness or other tragedies in nearer future. We have to help other when we still have time...lessons learned...and we must live our life when we still can.

This small piece of steel (38 mm), maillon rapide, is keeping me safe during my flight. This is the connection between the lines of my paraglider and to the riser set, which is connecting to my harness.
I am completely fascinated how it is working, the shape, and the surface, the closing and opening mechanism. Peguet in France has produce maillon rapides for decades and they are well known for their quality of the products. Peguet invited Air Turquoise SA to the factory in France and we went there for couple of weeks ago. It was like my dream came true, to see all these fantastic maillon rapides everywhere. We went through the whole factory step by step for to see the production chain (beginning to the end). During the way we saw big boxes with thousands of maillon rapides. Ahhhh, I wanted to take a bath with them .Well, I know it strange kind of passion I have....ha ha ha.
Back to serious stuff, it was good to see the production and the quality work in the end. Every single maillon rapide is measured and double checked if the quality is good. You can not imagine how many pieces to be checked!!! The machines which are used in the production are made by Peguet themselves.

Well, I am back from Germany and Free flight exhibition in Tegelberg. Wonderful place with nice mountains, lakes and flatlands. King Ludwig II of Bayern build the famous Neuschwanstein castle in 1869-1884 (+), just close by the Free flight event. I worked all Friday and Saturday, but I had time for small flight in light autumn thermals Saturday. I flew two times above the castle and took some pictures, goody. I tried a light-weight glider from Sky Paragliders, Cima. Wonderful glider with nice details on the brake handles to save some extra grams. I also found new harness with airbags on the side!!! Wow, it looked very strange.

Free flight try to beat Coupe Icare in St. Hilaire with their spectacular shows in the evenings. At least it was many shocked people early Friday evening witness to a full striptease show, it is maybe not what you expecting on a paraglider exhibition especially at 7.30 pm. Saturday evening was more "friendly" with concert and Brazilian dancers, we danced together all night looong. (Congratulates Brazil with summer Olympic games in 2016!) other info about the event in XCmag.

 By the way; what do you think about the new blog-design? I know that not everything are working properly yet, but I am working on it.

Visit of my parents here
My parents were here in beginning of September. They brougth nice fish nam nam nam, and we were visiting different places around. We also went to Annecy in France. My dad also had his first tandem flight in paraglider!!!

Flight for Eddy here
Many pilots from the local paraglider club flew a flight for Eddy September 12. It was fantastic and magic flight, this kind of flight Eddy dreamt about. Everyone flew with a light, which was placed on the landing field when we landed. It was nice to say "goodbye" this way....
